SOUL SURFING STUDIO / UNDER CONSTRUCTION

A place to listen.
Room to create.

IN CONSTRUCTION

A new home for sound in Podgorica, Montenegro.

We are building a dedicated studio for recording, music production and sound for picture. A generous live room and a separate control room will bring musicians and the production process together, with space to focus on the performance.

49.5 m²

Live room

23.4 m²

Control room

92.4 m²

Total planned floor area

Planned areas include the live room, control room and supporting spaces. Final usable dimensions will reflect the completed acoustic build.

01 / SPACE

Play together.
Hear the detail.

The planned 49.5 m² live room gives performers room for instruments, microphones and shared sessions. The separate 23.4 m² control room is intended for recording supervision, editing, production and mixing. Supporting technical and circulation spaces complete the layout.

02 / ACOUSTICS

The room is
part of the instrument.

Our acoustic planning focuses on two complementary needs: a recording room that supports the performance, and a control room that helps us hear balance, space and detail. Sound isolation between the rooms and control of reflections and low-frequency behaviour are central design goals.

The treatment, listening position and final room response will be refined as the build progresses. Acoustic performance will be checked in the finished rooms.

03 / RECORDING SYSTEM

Built around
the session.

The studio is being planned as one connected recording environment, with clear signal routing, multitrack capture and close communication between the live room and control room. The aim is a session that feels natural to the artist and precise for the engineer.

Clarity in the signal path

A recording workflow designed around clean capture, organised routing and the flexibility to shape each session around its performers.

Comfort for the performer

Thoughtful positioning, clear communication and a monitoring approach that helps musicians stay connected to the performance.

A flexible workflow

Music, vocals, dialogue and sound recording share a flexible production environment, shaped to support both individual artists and collaborative sessions.

04 / WHY MONTENEGRO

A different pace.
A different perspective.

Montenegro brings the Adriatic coast, mountain landscapes and lake country into one small setting. The contrast between Mediterranean light, open landscapes and the energy of Podgorica offers a change of scene for a creative project.

Our vision is to make recording here a focused creative stay: time to work closely on the music, with room outside the session to walk, explore and return with fresh ears. For visiting artists, the appeal is the combination of personal collaboration and a place that can become part of the inspiration.

05 / WHAT COMES NEXT

Taking shape.

The studio is under construction and is not yet open for in-person sessions. An opening date has not been announced. We will share progress, the final room specifications and the confirmed equipment list here.

Online music, audio and visual production are available worldwide now, independently of the studio opening.
